Raised Floor:

It is an architectural element that provides elevated structural flooring above solid substrates or stands (often a concrete slab) to create a hidden vacuum for the passage of mechanical and electrical services.

These floors are widely used in modern office buildings in specialized fields such as information technology, data centers, and computer rooms where cable, wiring, and electrical services are needed.

These floors can be installed at varying heights from about 51 mm to about 1,200 mm to suit the services that can be accommodated below.

Often they are additionally structurally supported and illuminated when the floor is raised to allow a person to pass.
